What do you think about President Obama's new smoking bill?
It's about time!
Too little, too late.
Totally unfair to tobacco users.
Who cares! It won't change anything.

With warm weather and family events, the Fourth of July can be a fun time with great memories. But before your family celebrates, make sure everyone knows about fireworks safety.

If not handled properly, fireworks can cause burn and eye injuries in kids and adults. In 2003, six deaths were linked to fireworks and hospital emergency departments treated 9,300 fireworks injuries.

The best way to protect your family is not to use any fireworks at home — period. Attend public fireworks displays, and leave the lighting to the professionals.

Safety tips are here!

You & your family can enjoy these fun 4th of July events:

With the clinching of the south division title, the Columbus Lions (10-3) of the American Indoor Football Association are launching their march to the championship by putting a playoff ticket package on sale for both first and second round games.

With home field guaranteed for the first round game slated for Monday July 6th at 7:30 PM against the Fayetteville Guard, the Lions are offering a discounted pricing structure on playoff tickets with Jungle Seats, rows A, B, and C, being reduced to $30.  Lower Level seats will be priced at $15 and Upper Level seats will be $10.

Season ticket holders will be given the first opportunity to purchase the seats they currently hold for the 2009 season.  Tickets will be available to the general public this coming Friday.  With the possibility of hosting a second round tentative for July 13th, fans may go ahead and purchase a ticket package that includes both first and second round games.  If the Lions do not get past the first round you can apply your second round ticket costs towards season tickets for the 2010 season.

There is nothing like playoff football, so call the Lions front office today at 706-322-3336 to get in on the action and reserve your seats today.  March right along with the Lions as they try to capture the AIFA championship!
